Our first appointment with the ob/gyn was yesterday. It was a long afternoon. We met the doctor and got to know each other a bit. She seems very nice and laid back, but thorough. She is running a battery of tests due to my high blood pressure and slight insulin resistance. So far she got 9 tubes of blood out of me yesterday. There are more tests to come in the next couple of weeks though. She switched my blood pressure medicine to an old medicine I used to take, which is kind of a bummer because it makes me pretty tired. I am already sleepy as it is!
No ultrasound yesterday either. Just a regular exam. I am not sure when the next ultrasound will be, but it doesn't sound like it will be anytime soon.
My next appointment is in 2 weeks on April 17th. That will just be for more tests and to discuss genetic testing with the doctor. Lots to think about.
I think I'll go take a nap...
